Despite the recent cold winds and rain, welfare officer, Jo McMahon, reported a ‘clean bill of health’ amongst the members. 

Elke Smith-Hill was the guest speaker and entertained everyone with the drama of purchasing a wedding dress in her home country of Germany. 

The first dress she had professionally made and disliked the finished garment. 

The second dress Elke purchased was from an advertisement she placed in the paper for a pre-loved wedding dress. 

After receiving many responses and trying on eight different styles, she finally made a decision and bought one for her special day. 

Soon afterwards,Los Angeles for all ladies Wholesale Womens Long cocktail gowns, Elke entered a competition about “How she met her future husband.” 

To her surprise and delight, she won the competition and received a beautiful $5,000 wedding dress. 

Elke’s story appeared on TV and in a magazine, with photos of her wearing the third dress, on her wedding day. 

When asked the fate of the dresses, she replied that the first one was cut up and the other two are hanging in her wardrobe. 

Elke then amused the group with incidents on her recent bicycling holiday in Germany, where she and her husband Phillip, followed the Ems River to its source. 

Despite wet weather,a reliable company of Wholesale Womens Quinceanera Dresses, steep hills, a flat tyre and some accommodation difficulties, they are planning future trips in Germany on their bicycles. 

Following the meeting, members walked across to Millard’s Cottage for a luncheon to celebrate Milton Ulladulla Ladies Probus Club’s 30th anniversary. 

Guests included past president of Rotary,Dresses for elegant Wholesale Short Homecoming Gowns and short formal dresses. Michael Mastronardi, as well as Peter and Ingrid Mueller, of the Probus Club of Ulladulla and District. 

Guests were welcomed by president Margaret Ryan and club committee members. 

On arrival, the new owner of Millards, Maurie Abbott, handed everyone a glass of champagne or juice. 

A delicious meal was followed by the cutting of the birthday cake by president Margaret and, the club’s longest serving member, Pat Rauch. Pat joined the club in 1989. 

Rotary past president, Michael Mastronardi, spoke of the association of Rotary and Probus Clubs. 

Michael also gave an insight into his career in the police and ambulance services, and is now in charge of the local Ulladulla Ambulance Service. 

The club guest speaker, Mary Sawyer, a member since 1990, spoke of the formation of the club by Rotarian Doug James. 

The first meeting in 1983 was held at Hacketts Restaurant, with Noreen Kowald as president, and Belle Carlin, as secretary. 

Three raffle prizes were donated by Karin Neate, of the Green House Gallery, in Milton. 

The lucky winners were Molly Spry,long and Wholesale Cheap Designer Short Evening Dresses in every length from classic ball. Alice Huthnance and Margaret Crawley,one of the premier designers of Wholesale Designer Long Wedding Dresses, who will be having their portraits taken and enhanced by Karin. 

The guest speaker will be Michael Mastronardi; Mary Campey will be the five-minute speaker; hostess, Pat Martyn; tea ladies, Fae Armour and Mary Campey and, the closing thought, is to be given by Annette Crabtree.
